COVID-19 Updates


**UCOM Will be closed the week of January 4th, 2021 for in-service.**

Due to the ever-changing nature of the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent spike in cases, we have adjusted the way food services are provided at UCOM.  We want the very best for our community. The health and well-being of our neighbors, volunteers, and staff are of the utmost importance to us. 

In-person food pantry services have been suspended until at least March of 2021. 

  • Call ahead Pick-up services are available.
    • Orders must be called in at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time.

  • The UCOM Farm Stand is open at this time and purchases can be made by calling ahead as well. A price list is posted on the Farm Stand in front of the building or you may call to receive the price list and place your order.

If you are in need of food and live within the UCOM service area please call  616-241-4006. If you do not live in the UCOM service area or you do not know where your local pantry is located, please call the United Way's 211 Hotline.

Who Can Visit the Pantry?

UCOM is a part of the Access of West Michigan network of food pantries and is one of 11 Key Resource Centers for Kent County. Anyone living within the UCOM service area is eligible to receive food at our Healthy Choice Food Pantry.


The UCOM service area includes the Roosevelt Park and Black Hills Neighborhoods of Southwest Grand Rapids, the city of Wyoming west of US 131, and the city of Grandville.
